Empowering Women through Vocational Training

Empowering Women through Vocational Training

Meet Pooja, a 25-year-old woman from a small village in Bihar. Pooja had always wanted to contribute to her family's income but, due to limited opportunities, she was forced to stay at home and take care of household chores.

One day, Pooja heard about a vocational training program being organized by NAF in partnership with local NGOs. The program aimed to empower women like Pooja by providing them with the necessary skills to earn a livelihood.

Pooja immediately enrolled in the program and began learning how to stitch clothes. She was a quick learner and soon became one of the most skilled trainees in her batch.

After completing the training, Pooja was given a sewing machine and other necessary equipment to start her own tailoring business. With the support of her family, Pooja started taking orders from her community members and soon gained a reputation for her quality work.

Today, Pooja is a successful entrepreneur and has even started employing other women from her village in her business. She is proud of her achievements and grateful to NAF for giving her the opportunity to fulfill her dreams.

Through programs like these, NAF is working towards empowering women in Bihar and creating a more inclusive and equitable society."
